The Annual Jingle Down Main Street 5K Run Is This Saturday

 The Town of Miami Lakes and the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to participate on this great event. Bring your co-workers, family and friends.
This event will be timed with the Brand New Chrono Track Timing System using D-Tag Technology. Participants will receive their race number with the D-Tag attached to the bib.

 On Wednesday December 3rd, join us for our monthly meeting at Don Shula's Hotel on Main Street. Our guest speaker is the newly elected Town of Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi. Live performance by the Barbara Goleman Jazz Band.
After his speech Mayor Pizzi will introduce Congressmen Lincoln Diaz-Balart and Mario Diaz-Balart who will be in attendance at our December Luncheon and will address the membership, as well.
Mayor Michael Pizzi has served almost eight years as Town Councilman for Miami Lakes, after previously serving on the Community Council. He has been a resident of Miami Lakes for over 15 years where he runs his law office, performing both criminal and civil litigation. On October 7, 2008 he was elected as Mayor for the Town of Miami Lakes.
 Also speaking at the December meeting will be US Coast Guard Captain Richard M. (Rick) Kenin. Captain Kenin currently serves as the 32nd Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Air Station Miami. His personal military decorations include the Legion of Merit, where he led the most comprehensive fundamental reorganization of the Coast Guard Headquarters since World War II., the Meritorious Service Medal and the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, as well as various unit and service decorations.
Networking starts at 11:30 a.m., lunch at 12 noon. Please reserve early to assure a spot. Kindly note that those who RSVP and are unable to attend will be billed for the luncheon.

PSN Town Center to Host "Rockin' Holiday Festival"

The Rockin' Holiday Festival is the first winter holiday event in the PSN Town Center, but will definitely not be the last. Snow laced landscape, big holiday trees, bright lights, and arts and crafts from local schools, are among the elements that will comprise the Winter Wonderland.
For those in search of tasty treats to feed their holiday spirit, many different types of food will be available during the event. The First Beef O'Bradys Nuclear Spicy Wing Contest will also take place at the Festival and is an adult (18 and over) only event. Brave moms and dads will turn as red as Rudolf as they compete to win some much needed cash for this holiday shopping season. More
